Methods of payment - card payments at the ticket machine or cash at the lodge.

We have new ticket machine in operation but don’t worry it is very easy to use! Please purchase your day tickets from the machine at the lodge before you head to your pegs.

Card payments - The ticket machine takes card payment and produces a ticket for you to take to your peg.

Cash payments - We are encouraging customers to use the ticket machine to help us manage tickets but you can still pay with cash on the day at the lodge.

Season ticket holders can show their membership cards at the lodge on arrival or on the bank when we come round.

Pegs are on a first come first serve basis.

Open weekdays 6am - 6pm

Open weekends 6am - 6pm

The gates close promptly at 6pm so please allow enough time to leave the site. Additional charges apply if we have to come and let you out.

Adults:

1 rod: £9.00

2 rods: £12.00

Juniors (under 15 years)

1 rod: £7.00

2 rods: £12.00

OAP & Disabled

1 rod: £8.00

2 rods: £12.00

A maximum of 2 rods per angler are allowed.

A maximum of 1 adult angler + 1 junior per peg is allowed.

Children 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No drop-offs permitted. Unsupervised minors will be asked to leave.

We welcome well behaved dogs, on a lead at all times and please clean up after them. Our new dog field is open, book here www.fetch52.com to use the secure field during your visit fishing with us.

Rules

  • LICENCE - All fishing on site must hold a valid rod licence. This is a legal requirement and failure to comply may result in enforcement action.

  • TICKETS - Ticket Machine in operation. All anglers must purchase a ticket before proceeding to their peg and setting up fishing. All anglers must retain their ticket and produce it on request. Anyone found fishing without a valid ticket will be required to pay an additional charge.

  • MEMBERS - Members may proceed directly to their peg but must carry their membership at all times.

  • LANDING MATS - landing mats must be used to protect the health and wellbeing of the fish onsite. Anyone without a landing mat will be required to stop fishing.

  • LANDING NETS - must be dipped in the tanks provided and laid out on the bank before fishing.

  • KEEP NETS - No keep nets allowed for pleasure angling. Keep nets only allowed for matches.

  • NO REMOVAL OF FISH - All fish within this fishery are the property of the venue and are protected stock. The unauthorised removal of fish constitutes theft. Any such incidents will be reported to the police. CCTV evidence will be used where necessary.

  • PROHIBITED BAITS - boilies, tiger nuts, nuts, chickpeas, trout pellets, cat and dog meat/biscuits. No floating baits allowed. Do not throw bread in or around the lakes. Ground bait to be used in moderation. No live baiting or spinning allowed. Anyone found using banned baits will be asked to leave.

  • LEFT OVER BAIT - Any left-over bait must be taken away or disposed of in the nearest bin provided on each lake. Please do not leave any bait on the side of the lakes.

  • HOOK SIZE - All hooks must be size 10 or smaller (size 10 and higher, smaller).

  • BARBLESS HOOKS - True barbless hooks only.

  • BRAID - No braid allowed.

  • LURE FISHING – not allowed.

  • NIGHT FISHING – not allowed.

  • YOUNG ANGLERS - Children 16 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No drop-offs permitted. Unsupervised minors will be asked to leave.

  • FIRES - No fires or BBQs allowed.

  • MUSIC - Please respect the site as a peaceful fishery. No loud music or radios.

  • ALCOHOL - No alcohol permitted on site. Alcohol is strictly prohibited anywhere on the fishery and associated businesses on site. This includes the car park, lakes, and all surrounding areas. Anyone found with alcohol will be asked to leave immediately.

  • RUBBISH – Do not litter. All rubbish must be taken with you or placed in the bins provided responsibly. Bins are provided on each lake for use in moderation.

  • BEHAVIOUR & PROPERTY - Respect the venue at all times. No interference with equipment or facilities. No entering restricted or staff only areas. Please respect our staff on site, we will not tolerate any foul language or misconduct towards them or the business. Anyone found trespassing, interfering with buildings, littering or causing damage will be banned. Any damage identified will be pursued for recovery of costs.

  • CCTV IN OPERATION - This site is monitored at all times.

  • Birch House Lakes reserves the right to refuse access to any persons to the lakes and has the right to remove any persons from the site.
